Project Requirements

Your Tribe (group of 3) will be responsible for preparing a presentation of your case study in the format of your choosing which include Presentation Tri-Fold Board, Documentary, Presentation (Power Point, etc.), Poster, Webpage, Video, etc.

What your project NEEDS to include:
  1. Choose a Tribe (Groups of 3 ONLY). Select a name, color, motto, and mascot.  Construct a Flag to represent your Tribe.
  2. Overview of your Case Study (including answers to the case study itself)
  3. Identify the MAJOR Organ System that your Case Study relates to including the Major Function of the Organ System, How the Organ System Works, and What are the Organs in your System & What do they do?
  4. Identify another OTHER Organ Systems that are involved in your Case Study and How they work together.
  5. What Specialized Cells are related to your Case Study? What makes these cells specialized?
  6. What Medical Technology is related to your Case Study?  Describe how it works and What it does.  What are the Ethical Concerns related to this technology?
  7. What are the Public Health considerations that are associated with your Case Study?  Are there any current Public Health Campaigns about the issue?  If there is not, Propose one idea or way to educate the public about the issue.
  8. Shark Dissection: Using the Dissection Guide provided for the Shark, dissect the shark looking to compare the structure of the shark to the human body. REMEMBER: Take pictures or video to include in your presentation.

  • Project Due Date: June 11th

Rough notes from research – every piece of research you use in your project must be listed in your rough notes page with a link to the original source (or title, author, page and date or book)
 
A collection of images you plan on using in your project. Every image you use MUST be licensed by the creator with a creative commons license. NO EXCEPTIONS. In your rough notes you MUST include the images, link from web page it came from and a note on the attribution (how it will be sourced). See me when you find your FIRST IMAGE if you have questions about this. DO NOT wait until you have more than one image. Otherwise, you will have to start again and find new images.
 
Daily log – complete the log daily. This must be completed by each person. At the end of the project, your log will be the base for your GRADE. It is how I will determine which parts of your project you contributed.
